Module Contents

Puerperal physiology in animals (cow, mare, ovine, caprine, cat and dog), diseases of puerperium (uterine subinvolution, contusion and laseration of birth canal, oedema of vulva and vagina, necrotic vulvovaginitis, post-puerperal paraplegia and paralysis), prolapse uteri, retained placenta, puerperal acut metritis, subacut metritis, puerperal laminitis and tetanus.

Aims and Objectives of the module

The aim of this lesson is to provide necessary knowledge about period of puerperium and problems concerned with puerperium in livestock.
