Doctorants will acquire an understanding of organic animal production, familiar with organic principles and practices, aware of the necessity for good animal husbandry, appropriate stocking rates, natural immunity and high standards of animal welfare in organic farming, aware of the regulations and standards as they apply to organic livestock production and together with some practical experience of working with farm animals.
