Module Contents

   Definition, subject, aim, borders of sociology and its place between social sciences.  A general and short knowledge on  the development of social thought pre-apearance period of sociology as a science.  Establishment of sociolgy as a science and its development. Basic toughts of the pioneers of sociology. Apperance  and development of sociology in Turkey. Ziya GÖKALP and Prince SABAHATTİN’s sociological ideas. Basic caracteristics of contemporary sociology. General knowledge on methodology in sociology. Examination of group, social status, social structure and social relationship concepts. Factors which have impacts on determinism and social relationships.

  Law and social order, definition of law, its methodology, resources and aims. Development of the law and systems of the law. Related concepts and terms to the legislative personality, events and applications according to law and legislative relations. Evaluation of these concepts from Turkis positive law. Right concept and  its types, legal responsibility and main divisions of the law.

Emphasising place and functions of law in social life. Law in different social orders, puplic-private laws, types of different law interpretations.

Evaluation of these issues at different periods and different thoughts. Dogmatic thought and its frontiers (Thales, Anaximenes, Herakleitos, Demokritos etc.) Septicism thought and its pioneers, iskoloastic thought and its frontiers; comparison of  philosophies of the antiquity, middle ages (iskolastik). Philosophy of the ıslam and its frontiers.
